July 28       Valley Vettes Get Out Of Town Cruise

For the July 28th Get Out of Town cruise, which leaves the Zero to 60 Garage in Sherwood promptly at 6 pm, we are going to end up at an outdoor beer garden. They have ice crème of course but also have good food, from gourmet to sandwiches. Rather than just eat and drive right back, if the group that shows up is interested, we'll spend some time under the tent sipping our drinks, swapping tall tales, and enjoying the evening. So come for a late dinner if you want (that's what I intend to do) or just some ice crème, your choice. If you are thinking you might come on the cruise, please email me at ischrodt@new.rr.com.  That way, if there is going to be a larger turn out  I can notify the restaurant. (I did run the route today and it is very pretty.)

August 21         Pelican Lake Campground Cruise and Car Show

We are still working on some details such as the route and leaving times,
but this is where we stand now.
We will do a scenic cruise to the campground where we have been asked to
display our cars in a non-judged show.  We are hoping to get there around
2:00 p.m.  At 5:00 p.m. they will be having a corn roast and pot-luck
supper to which we have been invited.  Band to follow at 6:00pm.  They don't want us to bring any
food, and they will also provide beer, soda and maybe some homemade wine
for us.  We will need a count by Aug.1 so they have an idea of how much
they need.
We have decided to invite friends with classic cars so we can have an
interesting show for them, as they seem to be going all out for us.

A block of 20 rooms have been booked at the Best Western Claridge in
Rhinelander ( 1-715-362-7100).  The rates are $80.10 for a Queen or 2
doubles.  I will be releasing these rooms on Aug 1. There is a breakfast
buffet at the hotel for $7.95 starting at 8:00 the next morning.   Sign up
at the meeting or call Jim Much at 920-833-7120.

Since we want to arrive at the campground by 2:00 p.m. we will not be
stopping for lunch, so you might want to bring some snacks and beverages
for the afternoon.  There will be one potty stop at a gas station
convince store on the way.
Our cell # is 920-202-0385 if you need to reach us on Aug. 21st.
